March 2023 -- Service was terrible this past Saturday Night.
- took 25 minutes to get our drinks - one bottle of wine (4 glasses), a coke, an iced tea and two juices.
- took 45 minutes just to order! Every staff person we asked for service kept pushing on the task to another. We had no idea whom our waiter was supposed to be, neither did they!
- asked for a cup of hot water five times, each time a different person and each time the task was unfulfilled.
- appetizers we ordered: came out ONE PLATE AT A TIME. We were a group of 9. It took one HOUR to fill the 4 appetizers I ordered (zucchini chips, fried saganaki cheese, skordalia spread, and grilled octopus.
- when one appetizer showed up, figured the next would shortly. Nope, we waited another 15 minutes. Then after about another 15 minutes passed, we told the server that our two other appetizers never appeared. I was beyond annoyed.
- also when the appetizers appeared, we had no plates and some of us, no silverware!! (Previously someone cleared our appetizer plates and utensils, even though we were still not done receiving. I told the waiter that our two appetizers were missing.
- when the missing appetizers showed up, the waitress brought us 4 plates -- we were a group of 9! Like what the heck???
- so finally, after TWO HOURS into dinner service, our main entrees arrived. We sat down at 7:10pm. Dinner was served at 9:10pm!!
They charged 20% gratuity because of my group size. Normally if service was better, I'd tip more. But they barely earned this one and it was a $500 dinner to boot! Most of the dishes were still great but the service really ruined our experience.
Menu note: seems either the menu has been condensed or it is different on the weekends. Lots of familiar dishes are now gone. No moussaka, no meatballs (beef), no fagri (red snapper type fish), no black sea bass, no more dover sole... Sad!!

Summer 2022 -- This Limani Mezze is the more scaled downl version of Limani on Northern. I like this location as it's easier to park and less pretentious. The bar has plenty of seating and Friday's are ladies night with a live DJ at 8:30pm. Gets loud so if you want a quieter dinner, go earlier. Other nights are dining as usual. Menu here boasts plenty of fish options which is the draw and the appetizers are all excellent, great offerings. This is a family friendly spot and the atmosphere is nice - like a Taverna. You can make a meal of appetizers hence the name Mezze.
Good place for lunch, the price fix is a great deal. I had the grilled octopus which was tasty and tender. The grilled branzino was excellent and it was served with a side of lemon potatoes. The raspberry sorbet was amazing.
We love to get together with group of friends on Saturday evenings at Limani Mezze. The food is always delicious and fresh. Amazing desserts too.
My favorite is Greek yogurt with berries, nuts and honey.
Service is always excellent and very accommodating. I also love the outdoor seating area for dining:)
I had the unfortunate experience of dining at Limani Mezze in Roslyn on Mother's Day, May 14, around 1 pm. My expectations were heightened due to the restaurant's location in a posh area and its association with another popular local spot. However, my experience was far from satisfying.
To begin with, the restaurant decor was uninspiring, featuring what appeared to be stock photos from Google. It's a small point, but it set the tone for a lunch that was underwhelming in numerous ways.
The service was extremely slow. It took nearly an hour for our food to arrive. This was a major inconvenience, especially considering that we were there to celebrate a special occasion.
The inconsistencies in the drinks were puzzling. A member of our party ordered the same cocktail twice, only to receive it in two different colors. When questioned, the staff informed us that the first drink was made incorrectly. An admission of error is appreciated, but it's concerning that the mistake wasn't acknowledged until we pointed it out.
The food, when it did finally arrive, was disappointing. The tuna dish was flavorless and undercooked, a stark contrast to the vibrant, fresh seafood one would expect from a restaurant with "Limani" in its name. Our side of potatoes was mistakenly served with our starters, disrupting the flow of our meal.
Perhaps most disappointing was the lack of attention from the staff. We had to repeatedly request basic items like water and extra cutlery. Despite raising these issues with our waiter and the manager, the service did not improve.
Moreover, it was clear we were not alone in our dissatisfaction. Many other patrons seemed to be experiencing similar issues, casting a damper on the overall atmosphere.
Given the premium prices, the quality and service at Limani Mezze simply do not align. I had hoped for a memorable Mother's Day meal, but it was memorable for all the wrong reasons.
I'd strongly suggest the management at Limani Mezze reassesses their service approach and food quality. Until then, I cannot recommend this restaurant for a celebration, or for a simple meal out, for that matter.
First time here, tried the price fix dinner special. Great deal, get a glass of house wine, choice of appetizer, entree, and dessert. The fried calamari was so tender and delicious and the filet mignon kabob was nice and rare, just like I asked for. My only issue was I asked for a raspberry sorbet for dessert but they brought me out lemon instead. It took my waiter over 20 minutes to correct the mistake. It was a Tuesday evening and they weren't that busy, so I would have expected better service.
Hosted a 16 person brunch here this past weekend and everything went off without a hitch. Alivia was our contact for planning and ensured everything went smoothly prior to and day of. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks. We had three small children with us and the staff was very accommodating. Will definitely be back to try out the great happy hour! Thank you!!!
First - love the regular Limani on Northern near Americana so we were eager to check out their new little brother location. Interesting concept - same food as the other place but a little smaller portions for a little smaller price. When you first enter, mirrors along the far wall create the illusion that the room is much bigger than it is. The place was bright with a lot of bright white with geometric shapes on the wall paper and the wall tiles. What looked like scenes from the movie 300 could be seen on the top of walls. We were seated right away by the hostess and our waiter came by frequently to check in on us. First up, soft flat bread sticks with some briny tapenade served in a paper cone. For appetizer, we got the octopus and tuna tartare. For entree, we got the linguine, the branzino, and the Kobe beef sliders. For dessert, the yogurt cheesecake and the yogurt with honey and cherries. The food was just as good as the other location. The cheesecake was particularly rich and decadent. One other note, since its located in a shopping center, there is a huge parking lot. But since it’s shared with a couple of popular restaurants, spaces are rare during peak times. All in all, a nice, lighter version of the original.
Delicious drinks! Great pita! Came for late night Friday drinks and had a great time. Great service and nice and clean ambiance. Would definitely come back again.

Came back again for lunch and the food was OUTSTANDING. This is going to have to be a regular spot now. The grilled chicken was absolutely delicious, everyone else at our table wished they got mine. The arugula salad was delicious and the eggplant chips were amazing too. So so good!!!
